What Kinds of Programs Will Be Heard on KWVH?The short answer is a wide variety. WVR's goal is to have about two-thirds of the programs be music, sports, and entertainment, and one-third cover local news, public affairs, the environment, health and wellness, aging, etc.
WVR plans a 'morning magazine' show, say a Good Morning, Wimberley, with local news and sports updates, interviews, and regular segments on a variety of topics relevant to Wimberley. Issues of aging, health and wellness are relevant to many residents here, whether their own or a loved one's. To that end, WVR and Dr. Rodger Marion are working to pull together people to contribute to a program or regular feature on the magazine show, whether as a co-host or behind the scenes. Those dealing with such issues are also part of the pool of folks needed to develop a successful show. Whether you are a health care provider or someone dealing with one or more such issues who is willing to be part of creating a show like that, please send your ideas to us: names of people, topics to explore, etc. We're starting to organize for it, but implementation will take a lot of planning and some time. Email other show ideas to Wimberley Valley Radio • KWVH.
